Grant to Fund Installation of Ultrafast EV Charging Stations at Two Texas Interstate Locations

Houston, Texas (December 29, 2023): Graviti Energy, the fastest-growing EV charging infrastructure operator in Texas, has secured a $1.8 million grant from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program to establish two state-of-the-art ultrafast charging stations in Corsicana, TX and Lubbock, TX. Each station will be equipped with four to eight high-speed chargers capable of supplying up to 250 kW of power.

The grant is part of a federal government initiative to install high-speed charging stations every 50 miles all along the interstate highways nationwide, aiming to drive e-mobility into the future. Texas will have around 40 of these charging stations—two of which will be installed by Graviti using the grant.

“We are thrilled that the state recognizes us as a key player in the EV charging infrastructure market,” said Alex Toutounchi, CEO, Graviti Energy, commenting on the development. “The grant highlights the success of our end-to-end EV charging infrastructure model which not only streamlines the installation of charging points through a turnkey solution but also offers customized charging programs that meet customer requirements,” he added.
